About

Entrepreneurship as a mindset.

KAREMHA is the single family office of Marco Beicht. Out of a series of companies built and sold over the years, a group has emerged that today rests on three investment pillars: tangible assets – above all real estate, energy and infrastructure –, corporate holdings focused on enterprise software and artificial intelligence, and a securities portfolio together with private-markets investments. Complemented by an in-house family-office unit that structures and steers the assets across generations.

// Investment focus & thesis

Our focus lies where we can judge from our own entrepreneurial experience – real tangible assets, energy and infrastructure, and technology with an emphasis on B2B software and artificial intelligence.

Consistency for the core

We run the bulk of the capital under management consistently and for the long term – in tangible assets, established holdings and a broadly diversified securities portfolio. Preserving value across generations comes before short-term returns.

Courage for what is next

Just as deliberately, we take on risk to be part of the next big thing – early, with conviction and with our own capital. Above all where our experience and network let us genuinely contribute.

// Founder story

Marco BeichtMarco Beicht

I grew up in Achern. Here I learned that solid work and a clear compass carry further than any showmanship – an understanding that shapes how I do business to this day.

I founded my first company in 2004, with 25,000 euros of seed capital from my father: Intellishop, an e-commerce software for mid-sized and large brands such as T-Mobile and Eismann. Six years later came the first exit – Intellishop went to LEA Private Equity and S-Kap.

What I took from those years shaped the next chapter. In 2012, I founded powercloud, a cloud platform for the energy industry. We started from a simple observation: the utilities’ established IT systems were built neither for the pace of digitalisation nor for the coming world of solar, storage and electric mobility.

That idea became a platform on which leading energy suppliers in Germany and internationally now run their customer and market processes. In 2019 General Atlantic came on board – the following years helped us grow internationally and institutionalise the company. In early 2024 we handed powercloud over in full to Australia’s Hansen Technologies.

Alongside it, further companies emerged that I helped build and later sold: chargecloud, Sprungpark, Preventio, Output.Rocks. Each with its own story, each with its own lessons.

KAREMHA grew out of these years. Originally conceived as a holding vehicle around my own companies, it has become a single family office that stands on two operating legs – fundamental business focused on real estate, energy and infrastructure, and technology focused on B2B software and artificial intelligence – complemented by a securities portfolio, private-markets investments and an in-house family-office unit.

What drives me is not diversification for its own sake. It is an interest in fields where I can genuinely contribute – as an investor, as an advisor, in some cases as a developer. The Illenauwiesen in Achern are a good example: a quarter that did not arise from a return calculation, but from the ambition to create something lasting in my own town.

Today three things drive me above all: supporting founders in scaling their B2B tech companies – with capital, experience and network, ideally combined with an advisory-board role; I am especially interested in artificial intelligence, energy and business scaling. Showing, with a model quarter in Achern, that climate-neutral living and working is already economically viable today – without subsidies, without compromise and transferable to other locations. And, alongside the operating business, pursuing a doctorate on the strategic decision-making of tech founders in the investor-financed scaling phase.

KAREMHA is my single family office today. At its core it is above all a long-term entrepreneurial plan – and a promise that we do what we do with the thoroughness it deserves.
